146w ago - Over the weekend the PS3 modchip known as PS JailBreak was
examined, and today
Mathieulh has made several Tweets (linked above) confirming that his PS3 hacker team have successfully cloned the PS JailBreak USB device.
Essentially this means the PS3 hack used to run PlayStation 3 game backups on a retail PS3 console was itself hacked, and according to
Mathieulh details on the exploit used will be publically documented and available as soon as next week.

As for the removal of the /dev_bdvd/ mount path patch... It's understandable. Homebrew is what's supposed to be in the spot light. Naturally, most of the people who bought the psjailbreak did it for the purpose of running back ups. The back up loader was the only bit of software released with it, since it's the main selling point.
If people get upset about being unable to run backups, they should realize that someone will almost definitely release something to remedy that. Can you picture FMCB without ESR? Without HDLoader, HD Advance, or usb extreme? What about wii homebrew without neogamma?
