I still prefer playing fps games on PC. I never liked golden eye in the n64 days & Played cs since it's beta stages.
I totally agree about FPS. They're played quite better on a PC. I'd also add MMORPGs to that, and games like StarCraft 2.
I like FPS and RTS on my PC because of the higher RAM and powerful video card. Higher RAM is something that the console should have by now since RAM price is so cheap and games developer really needs them.
If console like PS3 or Xbox 360 has 4GB of RAM, think of the possibilities the system will be able to do. Now if the Xbox 720 or PS4 have at least 16GB of RAM, I could see millions of enemies attacking just poor old you. Wouldn't that be something.

PC gaming will never die - it may just change it's structure. For example - because playing "backups" is so easy on PC developers may start to make free games fueled only by ingame ads.
And PC is still the best platform for mmo gaming - this alone will keep this platform alive ;)

I don't think PC gaming will ever "die" it will only adapt to the market. We are currently flooded with useless sports games and other titles too poor to even install however games like Bioshock and other fps will always be popular on a PC. I do however think certain types of games will die and make way for mmo's something console gaming has yet to get. Then again who knows, a good mmo could be right around the corner for the ps3/360.
idk.. i still like the keyboard and mouse for certain games.
