I would have to agree. Consoles however should be cheap and fun, that how they survived before.
I remember the Neo-Geo, many people have never even heard of it. But this console offered 24 bit graphics back when the genesis and SNES we're king.
Why did it fail? Well it cost $500, and back then that is the same price as about $800 now.
Not worth it, and people know it. I wish Sony did make a cheaper console that they we're known for, the reason that they we're so successful is the fact that developing for it was so easy, it was good enough to be a "Next Gen" console. It had the A+ games we all love and know Sony for. And it was just cool in general. Also the price was reasonable.
So I should say I agree with it for the most part. Consoles are here to stay even if it's just Nintendo and Sega again, but I am pretty sure the PlayStation is also a console that will be alive as well.
